Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force at Tulagi Police Station in Central Province have arrested and charged a 26-year-old male suspect for indecent assault of a 70-year-old woman on 21 September 2021.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Noro and Munda have opened an inquiry file after a crocodile attacked a 36-year-old male person at Roviana lagoon on 27 September 2021.

The crocodile attack had happened when five people from Opele village went out to dive beche-de-mer at reefs nearby their village when the reptile grabbed the man and took him for at least two hours before other four boys fought the reptile.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki, Malaita province have attended to a report of a dead branch that fell off a tree and killed an adult male person in West Kwaio, Malaita Province on 23 September 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Chief Superintendent Stanley Riolo says, “Police received a report of a death incident which occurred at Gwaunafou tribal land in the West Kwaio region.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team will conduct a live demolition of bombs at Hells Point, in the Alligator Creek area East of Honiara on Wednesday 29 September 2021.

Officer In-charge (OIC) of EOD, Inspector Clifford Tunuki says, “The Hells Point Demolition Range in Central Guadalcanal will be active as from 8am to 2pm (29 September 2021).”

As part of the Crime Prevention roll out to the communities across the country, the Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Tigoa Police Station in Renbel Province have started crime prevention awareness talk at Tahanuku village on 23 September 2021.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander Renbel Province Staff Sergeant Eddie Peseika says, “The main aim of the awareness is to strengthen the community by means of discussing their roles and responsibilities as well to ensure the community have trust and confidence in the police.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force at the Henderson and Tetere Police Station are investigating an alleged unlawful wounding incident involving two parties in North East Guadalcanal on 19 September 2021.

An initial report on the incident said that an argument broke out during a card game for beer at Koivo village in the North East Guadalcanal.

It was alleged that one of the men wounded a 35-year-old male on the mouth using a bush knife and sustained injuries. The victim was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital for medical treatment.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Central Police Station have arrested three male suspects for playing loud music during late hours at Koa Hill in Central Honiara on 18 September 2021.

Police Commissioner Mostyn Mangau says, “The matter was reported to police by the Crime Prevention Committee at Koa hill.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Tigoa Police Station in Renbel Province have arrested seven adult male suspects age between 19 and 43 years-old who were employees of a logging company in Tigoa for malicious damage and Criminal trespass on 19 September 2021.

Initial report said that the suspects were under influence of liquor when they committed the offences. It is alleged that the suspects confronted landowners at their village and threw stones, damaged dwelling houses and intimidated them.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Central Police Station have arrested and charged a 39-year-old male suspect for consuming liquor in the public place.

Police Commissioner, Mostyn Mangau says, “It is alleged that the suspect was holding a can of beer on his right hand and drunk it at the car park at the Central Police Station on the 19 September 2021 at about 12 mid-night.”

Commissioner Mangau says, “Police approached the suspect and told him that he is consuming beer in a public place. The suspect was arrested and dealt with.”

20 Crime prevention Committee members (CPCs) both male and female from both North and South Savo ward12 and 13 in Central Province, participated in a day workshop conducted by police officers from Tulagi Police Station.
