Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Tigoa Police station in Renbel Province have witnessed a reconciliation ceremony in relation to a logging issue on 3 October 2021

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Renbel province Staff Sergeant Eddie Peseika says, “The reconciliation was to maintain the peace and relationship after a logging issue occurred on 19 September 2021.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force at Tulagi Police Station in Central Province have arrested three male suspects aged between 28 to 32-year-old for housebreaking and demanding money on 29 September 2021.

Initial report said that the suspects went to the complainant's house at Panueli village, Savo Island on 24 September 2021 and demanded money. The complainant feared the demand and left to another location for safety.

The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) confirm that the two missing persons who went missing beginning September 2021 have landed at West New Britain, Papua New Guinea (PNG) on 3 October 2021.

Police Commissioner Mostyn Mangau says, “The two male persons have just landed yesterday at Cape Maso, West New Britain in PNG after drifting for 29 days.”

Commissioner Mangau says, “They are safe and apparently in good health. Both are currently taken for medical check-up and will reside with the ward members awaiting their repatriation to Solomon Islands.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Central Province participated in a consultation meeting with Chiefs and Crime Prevention Committee to review the Yandina by-law at the Yandina police station on 25 September 2021.

The meeting was held purposely to revise and discuss more on the gaps identified in the community by-laws more especially when it comes into customs and cultures, and the measures taken to resolve it.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at the Yandina Police Station in Central Province have conducted an inquiry into a male person in his 20s believed to be killed by a crocodile in a bay between Pavuvu and Banika passage in the Russell Islands early hours on 28 September 2021.

The crocodile attack had happened when the deceased and three boys from Lauave village went out to dive beche-de-mer. The Crocodile attacked the deceased, crabbed and drowned him in the sea.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Tulagi Police Station in Central Province have arrested a 19-year old male suspect for defilement of a girl under 15-years-old on 22 September 2021.

Initial report said that the suspect has being having sex with the victim since 2018 when she was 12-years-old in Small Ngella.

Police Commissioner Mr Mostyn Mangau says, “The matter was reported to police by the victim’s parents and investigation was carried out.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Noro and Munda have opened an inquiry file after a crocodile attacked a 36-year-old male person at Roviana lagoon on 27 September 2021.

The crocodile attack had happened when five people from Opele village went out to dive beche-de-mer at reefs nearby their village when the reptile grabbed the man and took him for at least two hours before other four boys fought the reptile.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki, Malaita province have attended to a report of a dead branch that fell off a tree and killed an adult male person in West Kwaio, Malaita Province on 23 September 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Chief Superintendent Stanley Riolo says, “Police received a report of a death incident which occurred at Gwaunafou tribal land in the West Kwaio region.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team will conduct a live demolition of bombs at Hells Point, in the Alligator Creek area East of Honiara on Wednesday 29 September 2021.

Officer In-charge (OIC) of EOD, Inspector Clifford Tunuki says, “The Hells Point Demolition Range in Central Guadalcanal will be active as from 8am to 2pm (29 September 2021).”
