Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Central Police Station in Honiara have arrested and charged a male suspect for domestic violence in Honiara on 11 June 2021

Initial report said the complainant was awakened by a loud music from drunken boys in the early hours on that day at Vara creek area. The victim got up and approached the group of boys to stop playing loud music, which was causing disturbances.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Henderson Police Station in Guadalcanal Province are investigating a simple larceny incident that occurred at Bonehe beach, West Guadalcanal on 11 July 2021.

Initial report said that a female foreigner went to Bonehe beach for scuba diving. She parked her vehicle at the beach and went diving. She later returned to her vehicle and discovered that the vehicle was open and her money went missing.

Commissioner of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), the Minister of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification, the Minister and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services and the Commander of Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) have visited the new Avu Avu and Aola Police Stations in Guadalcanal Province on 16 July 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Makira-Ulawa Province, Superintendent Peter Sitai and team have conducted a two days consultation meeting from 8 and 9 of July 2021, as part of Crime Prevention Strategy for the community leaders at Namah, Pihuru, Nagarawawa, Nahuhu and Karie in East Makira.

The consultation has come about following alleged claims that these communities have experienced law and order issues of which leaders were unable to control antisocial behaviours happening in their communities.

Seven officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have been promoted to different positions within the Force during a brief ceremony at the Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara on 15 July 2021.

Speaking at the ceremony, Commissioner Mostyn Mangau told the officers, “Your promotions are challenging as you take on the new leadership positions to drive the RSIPF.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi in Central Province have arrested four male suspects for the allegation of assault causing actual bodily harm to a 21-year-old male on 5 April 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent David Soakai says, “The victim and the four suspects were drinking beer prior to the incident. While they were still drinking beer, the suspects gave a bottle containing kwaso to the victim to drink but he refuse and spit it out.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have arrested two suspects for a murder incident this morning (15 July 2021) at Forest valley in west Honiara.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City, Superintendent John Matamaru says, investigators from White River Police and National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) have responded to the murder incident while White River General Duties officers support them to manage the situation.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Buala Police Station in Isabel Province has confirmed that the missing seven people at sea between Isabel and Central Province were found alive and well at Kaevanga in Isabel Province on 13 July 2021.

The seven people were travelling from Sepi in Isabel Province to Buenavesta in Central Province by an Out Board Motor (OBM) on 10 July 2021 for a convention at Nagotano village.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi have arrested a 23-year-old male suspect from Halavo village yesterday (13 July 2021) for receiving stolen property contrary to section 313 of the penal code.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent David Soakai says, “Investigators have carried out an investigation into the matter. Police officers located the suspect, as he is the one who received the stolen mobile phone worth $3000-00 from a group of boys.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi in Central Province have participated in the 8th convention to the Vatilau house of chief in Ngella Island to the Bugotu house of chiefs held at Nagotano community on 12 July 2021.

More than hundred participants including Vatilau Chiefs and Bugotu Chiefs with some of the high dignitaries’ official from both Isabel Province and Central Province have also form part of the convention program.
