The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team will be conducting a live demolition of bombs at the Hells Point, in the Alligator Creek from 30 March to 1 April 2021

Supervising Officer In-charge (OIC) of EOD, Staff Sergeant Peter Ririvere says, “The Hells Point Demolition Range in Central Guadalcanal area will be active from 8am to 12 middays from 30 March to 1 April 2021.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) says it cannot successfully secure the western border with Papua New Guinea from the entry of COVID-19 without the help of communities in the Western, Choiseul and Malaita provinces living along Solomon Islands’ side of the common border.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Malu’u Police Station in Malaita Province have arrested a 15-year-old male suspect for the alleged rape of a 5-year -old girl at Ferafa’alu Village on 21 March 2021.

An initial report says the suspect sexually assaulted the victim in a kitchen at their village when she went to collect fire. The victim later experienced vomiting and pain to her private part. Her parents took her to the Malu’u Hospital and a medical practitioner confirmed penetration.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Tulagi Police Station in Central Province have arrested a 33-year-old man in relation to a malicious damage incident at Vuturua Village on Small Ngella on 6 March 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province Inspector Walter Manefakale says, “An initial report states that the suspect went to the complainant’s garden and wilfully and unlawfully damaged 14 matured banana plants with fruits, and chopped down a bread fruit tree and a betel-nut tree.”

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Buala Police Station in Isabel Province are currently investigating an alleged unlawful damage of properties at Jejevo Village on 8 March 2021

An initial report into the incident say that a group of people went to Jejevo Village, in the Katova Ward, Isabel Province and aggressively caused very extensive and serious damages to people’s properties. The estimated value of properties destroyed and properties taken away is around $350,000.00

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) National Traffic Department in Honiara have arrested and charged a male suspect following a traffic accident in Honiara on 15 March 2021

It has been reported that the suspect was travelling in a westerly direction in a car when he veered off the road towards the Iron Bottom Sound Hotel and crashed into the flowerbed in front of the Monarch Restaurant entrance gate. The vehicle sustained severe damage as a result of the accident.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Yandina Police Station in the Russell Islands, Central Province have arrested and charged a 48-year-old man on 16 March for the alleged sexual assault of his 14-year-old daughter continuously since September 2019.

The victim is the suspect’s eldest daughter and lives with her parents at Marolone Village in West Russell.
