The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has thanked the Temotu provincial government for its continuous support for the work of the police in that province over the years.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Provincial, Joseph Manelugu conveyed the sentiments when he paid a courtesy call on the Temotu Provincial Premier, Hon. Clay Forau Soalaoi in Lata on 11 June 2020.

AC Manelugu says, “The RSIPF is a disciplined organisation and we as police officers must maintain discipline when are on or off duty. Whether we off or on duty we are still police officers of the crown. We are mandated to perform our duties with showing no favours to any one.”
Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi in Central Province together with other stakeholders in that Province have launched the Belaga Community COVID-19 by-law on 30 May 2020.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province Inspector Hugo Maelasi explains: “The Belaga by-law was launched after the community setup their COVID-19 committee following the awareness programs from the police and health team from the Central Province.”
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki, Malaita Province have arrested 14 drivers for committing traffic offenses during a two-day traffic operation in the town on 5 and 6 June 2020.
Among the 14 drivers, two suspects were arrested for drink and drive after they had gone through Random Breath Testing (RBT) and confirmed positive. Four drivers were arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license and ten unlicensed motor vehicle offenses.

It is alleged that the deceased man possessed black magic (vele) and had been responsible for a number of deaths in his area.
The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) had installed a new outdoor banner outside the Honiara City Central Police Station aimed at increasing Cyber safety awareness and education in the country.
The banner has been donated by the Cyber Safety Pasifika Team of the Australian Federal Police Program aimed at increasing Cyber safety awareness in the Pacific.
The main purpose of the banner is to remind the citizens of Solomon Islands to remain safe whilst accessing the use of internet.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Lata in the Temotu Province have mediated a land related issue which happened 15 years ago between two parties over a piece of land at No’ole farm Santa Cruz Island on 21 May 2020.
Initial report says that the two disputing persons were already victims and suspects in the same land case. A lot of attempts have been made to settle the matter but were not successful.
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in the Western Province yesterday (24 May 2020) farewelled their colleague officer the late Police Constable (PC) Tony Panda during a funeral service after he passed away on 23 May 2020.
Presenting the late Panda’s eulogy during the funeral service at Rarumana Village, Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu says, “I am humbled to stand here on behalf of the Commissioner of Police and all ranks and files of the RSIPF throughout Solomon Islands.”
