A recent Court Circuit held at the Manuopo Police Station in the Reef Islands, Temotu Province resulted in the imprisonment of two defendants for a total of nine months after being found guilty of domestic violence and malicious damage charges.

Principal Magistrate Luke Sandy, Public Solicitor Delilah Fagani and Prosecutor Matthew Tawopi heard 51 cases during the Court Circuit held 7 - 18 September 2020.

A training course to build the intelligence ability of law enforcement agencies to allow for more effective inter-agency collaboration to combat criminal organised groups has got underway at the Royal Solomon Islands Police Headquarters at Rove in Honiara today(13 October 2020).

The training, funded by the Solomon Islands Police Development Program, (SIPDP) is being attended by 13 participants from RSIPF, Correctional Services Solomon Islands ( CSSI), Immigration and Customs departments. It will be ran over four weeks.

List of candidates who will be attending physical test on 10 and 11 October 2020. All candidates should arrive at Rove Police Head Quarters at 6:30am on Saturday and Sunday respectively. List for the two days also been posted up in all the police station within Honiara and Guadalcanal Police. All candidates to take note that a temperature check will be conducted to each person before entering the Rove boom gate. Physical test will commence at 7:00am

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is boosting static security at the two quarantine stations where the repatriated Solomon Islands students from the Philippines are accommodated as the Government declared the first positive COVID-19 case in the country this afternoon.
The positive case is a male student who had been repatriated from the Philippines earlier this week.

RSIPF will boost security at the Guadalcanal Beach Resort (GBR) east of Honiara and the Chengs accommodation opposite the King George Sixth National Secondary School in east Honiara.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the National Traffic Department in Honiara are investigating a fatal accident at the Lungga River east of Honiara yesterday( 30 September 2020).

The incident occurred on the west side of Lungga River where companies usually get gravel. Solomon Islands Cement Company owns the excavator that was scooping gravel for the company when the incident happened.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) assisted the Sheriff of the High Court to serve an eviction order in relation to the unlawful occupation of land owned by Asian company Samlinson in the Henderson area east of Honiara.

There were criticisms from some members of the public targeting police about the High Court eviction order on the land owned by Samlinson.

Officers from the Sheriff of the High Court served the eviction order on the people living on the Samlinson owned land on the other side of the Don Bosco School along RAMSI Street.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) today (29 September 2020) joined police services around the world to mark the “Blue Ribbon Day – Police Remembrance Day” when police officers remember colleagues who have passed away during the past year.

RSIPF Commissioner Mostyn Mangau says, “This is a time for officers of the RSIPF and the community to honour the dedicated men and women who have died serving their community.”

The National Traffic Department of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) today (24 September 2020) charged the Member of Parliament for North-West Guadalcanal Hon. Bodo Dettke for careless driving following a traffic incident he was involved in at the Honiara Central Market area on 8 August 2020.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) in Honiara have completed investigation into the incident involving two Chinese nationals in relation to an incident at the Pacific Casino Hotel COVID-19 quarantine centre on 3 September 2020.

It was reported to police that a vehicle entered the Pacific Casino Hotel premises and a parcel was passed to another person in the vehicle by the Chinese national under quarantine at the Hotel through the ventilation window of a room on the southern side of the premises.
