Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Guadalcanal Province and at the Rove Police Headquarters are investigating the suspicious death of an elderly man at the Chimiu River mouth, in the Longu area of East Guadalcanal on 8 November 2018.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Auki in Malaita Province underwent a session on the Kwaso Action Plan on 13 November 2018 at the provincial capital Auki.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Provincial Joseph Manelugu says, “The strategic direction is to reduce the harm that kwaso causes in our communities.”

In line with positive crime prevention activities and the Crime Prevention Strategy, the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is using basketball to engage with youth and create more awareness and access to health and sporting activities for young people in Honiara.

Solo Twilight Basketball is a partnership supported by the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) with Solomon Islands Basketball Federation, RSIPF and FIBA-O which focuses on young people participating in an active healthy lifestyle.

Police at Auki in Malaita Province conducted a meeting for its heads of divisions today (12 November 2018) in preparation for the Kwaso Action Plan meeting that will be held with different stakeholders in the Auki township during this week.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Superintendent, Timothy Apaesi says, “The aim of the meeting is to discuss with my supervisors how we can work with communities and the team from Honiara to roll out the Kwaso Action Plan and the National General Election 2019 Action Plan.”
