Police officers at Auki police station have arrested and charged a 48-years-old male person for unlawfully wounding a 27-year-old female at West Kwara’ae, in Malaita Province recently.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Chief Superintendent Tex Tafoa says, “According to the initial report, the victim had an argument with the suspect’s daughter over ngali nuts.”

PPC Tafoa says, “After the argument, the daughter returned home and informed her father that she had been verbally abused by another woman.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) brass band along with the Australia Defence Force (ADF) band have put on a fun and entertaining show at the Unity Square in celebration of the Kings birthday on Saturday (14.06.2024).

The event was a great opportunity for members of the public to come together and enjoy the evening of music and entertainment. It was a good turnout of families, teenagers and young adults despite the cloudy weather. The bands played all types of music including local songs.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) officers, the Correctional Services of Solomon Islands (CSSI) and the Police Band mounted a colourful Parade at the official program in commemoration of His Majesty King Charles III official 75th Birthday at the National Stadium on 14/6/24.

Solomon Islands today celebrated the second King's Birthday. There were seven parade groups which were also part of the parade and they are the HCC Law enforcement group, Scouts, Girl Guides, Brownies, Pathfinders, girl’s brigade and boy’s brigade.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) along with its security partners have hosted a community engagement program through sports at the Honiara Secondary High School field on Saturday (08.06.2024).

National Crime Prevention Department (NCPD) Director Superintendent John Matamaru says, “The purpose and intend of these engagements are to build civilian’s confident and trust in their police.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team successfully conducted a week-long operation to safely remove more than 200 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) in Western Province.

The EOD team, consisting of highly trained professionals located and safely disposed of the UXOs to eliminate any potential risks to the community.

Director of the RSIPF EOD Unit Inspector Clifford Tunuki says, “The operation was carried out in collaboration with the communities from 1 to 9 June 2024.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team will be conducting bomb/ UXO operations at Shortland in Western Province and Choiseul Province.

The UXO Operations will occur from 7 to 20 June 2024. The timing for these operations will be from 9am to 4pm each day.

The operation will focus on area such as Supizae,subesube,Tarepasike, Solovae and mamalena in Choiseul, as well as Kariki,Tuha and Koltai in Western Province.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Tigoa police station are the latest recipients of the Crime Prevention Strategy (CPS), Mindset and Family Violence training this week in Renbel province.

The New Zealand Police (SIPSP) alongside the RSIPF Provincial Training Officer Sergeant Henry Oneone, and NCPD Sergeant Tamaeri Cheong delivered the training in Tigoa.

Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) officers at the Close Personal Protection Department (CPPD) obtained certificates after completing a week seminar training on 31 May 2024.

The training-the-trainer seminar was conducted by China Police Liason Team (CPLT) where 11 officers passed their assessment and became more competent instructors.

According to CPLT, the training course is aimed at improving the operational capacity and reliable security for those they looked after especially the VIP as their daily mandates.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Kirakira Police Station in Makira Ulawa province have conducted a week long training for Crime Prevention Committees (CPC) in ward 18, 19 and 20 from 25 to 31 May 2024.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Makira Ulawa Province Superintendent Peter Sitai says, “It is a follow-up on previous crime prevention related trainings that have been conducted in the area during the initial stage of community Bye-Law formation.”

Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) officers at Central Police Station (CPS) farewelled Honiara City Operation Manager, Chief Superintendent Tex Tafoa as he takes on a new leadership role after his promotion recently.

The farewell was held at Central Police Station on 28 May 2024.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Chief Superintendent, Jimson Robo wished Chief Superintendent Tafoa all the best in taking up the most responsible role as a Provincial Police Commander for Malaita Province.”
