Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Kirakira, Makira/Ulawa Province, have conducted a leadership training for the youth of West Wainoni Catholic Parish in Makira/Ulawa Province recently.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Makira Ulawa Province, Superintendent Peter Sitai, says, “This initiative is part of the crime prevention strategy and the festive season operations. The training was organised in response to a request from the Catholic parish priest of the West Wainoni Parish in East Makira.”

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) held a police family activity at the Rove Headquarters recently.

The event brought together about 150 children and their family members to celebrate Christmas and the New Year while promoting cross-cultural exchange and understanding.

The event featured a calligraphy workshop, a tea ceremony experience, and a Chinese movie screening, which provided participants the opportunities to explore and appreciate Chinese culture.

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is appealing to the victims of the alleged demand for the $200.00 commission on police clearance to come forward to the Professional Standard Internal Investigation (PSII) of the RSIPF.

Your police-RSIPF acknowledge the author of the news article and call on the victims to come forward and provide their statements to PSII so that a proper investigation is carried out and deal with those officers involved.

A twenty-member delegation team from the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correction Service (MPNCS) has completed a two-week seminar on criminal investigation and cultural exchange in China from 2 to 16 December 2024.

The two-week seminar is hosted by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) through Fujian Provincial Public Security Department, executed by China-Pacific Island Countries Police Training Centre (CPPTC) in Fujian, and coordinated by the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) in Honiara.

To foster stronger connections with local residents and promote public safety during the festive season, a vibrant community outreach activity was successfully held by the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) and China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) recently.

The event brought together officers, local leaders, and community members for awareness talks, cultural exchange, and recreational activities with the aim of creating a harmonious community while raising awareness about family violence, reckless drinking during holidays, drugs, and emerging issues.

Auki police have arrested six suspects in their 20s and 30s for brewing kwaso (homebrew) in Malaita Province during the Christmas operation.

The suspects have been arrested during the raid at Fiu village in Central Kwaraáe and at Gounaruú in West Kwaea’ae.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province Chief Superintendent Tex Tafoa said all apparatus for cooking kwaso, including a large quantity of finished kwaso products, were confiscated and taken to Auki police station as exhibits.

Tulagi police have arrested a 40-year-old male person for a stabbing incident recently in Tulagi township.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Senior Sergeant (SSgt) Linda Iro said the incident has occurred between two brothers.

Supervising PPC Iro said the motive behind the stabbing incident is that the elder brother told his younger brother to bring back home his six-year-old son, who slept on the table at the pub, and later he can join them.

The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) appeals to the good people of the Solomon Islands to have a crime-free and safe New Year 2025 celebration throughout the country.

Operation Commander and Assistant Commissioner (AC), National Capital and Crime Prevention (NCCP) Mr. Simpson Pogeava, said, “I want to remind our good, loving people to have a crime-free and safe New Year 2025 celebration. My message to you all is, always do the right thing and, more importantly, respect each other.”

The partnership program between the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), known as the RSIPF-AFP Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP), donated gifts at the National Referral Hospital (NRH) last Friday.

The gifts were presented to children admitted to the NRH’s Children's Ward.

Officers from the RSIPF’s National Crime Prevention Department (NCPD) along with members of RAPPP and the Health Welfare and Community Engagement (HWCE) project visited the Children’s Ward and delivered the gifts.
