Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at National Traffic Department (NTD) have charged an adult male person for a traffic accident over the weekend (28 October 2022) close to Multi-Purpose hall in Honiara.

Director NTD Superintendent William Foufaka says, “The defendant was driving a white Toyota Hilux heading down to western side of the Honiara, when involved in a Traffic accident.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Lata and Manuapo in Reef Islands have arrested two male suspects for the alleged murder of a 14-year-old girl last month.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Operations, Ms. Juanita Matanga said the arrest was made on 24 October 2022 during a joint operation between Lata and Manuapo police officers.

DC Matanga said, Lata police currently dealt with the suspect and looked at possibilities to remand the two suspects.

Premier of the Isabel Province, Honourable Rhoda Sikilabu in her remarks during the closing ceremony of Public Order Management (POM) training have encouraged Buala Police Officers to use the new skills, attitude and confidence gained during the training to build more credibility and integrity.

Premier Sikilabu said your commitment to the training program is much appreciated. Congratulate you for the new skills and knowledge you gain after the two weeks of intensive training.

Twenty-two (22) officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police (RSIPF) in Isabel Province conducted a successful Public Order Management (POM) demonstration after completing a two weeks training provided by the China Liaison Team (CPLT) in Buala on 22 October 2022.

The demonstration, which was held amid heavy rain in the morning, consist of unarmed combat skill, use of police long sticks, use of batons and shields and crowd control.

Tulagi police have safely transported 15 international war veteran tourists and two local tour guides to Honiara on Monday.

These tourists and tour guides plus two local boat crews survived a boat-capsized incident off Sole Village at Big Ngella on Sunday night.

According to a police report, 19 individuals in total arrived at Vanita Motel on Sunday, for a day trip that was organised by a Honiara based tourism operator, on a ray boat owned by Rax Boys.

The National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have arrested a suspect for the allegation of murder at West Kola ridge in Honiara this morning (24 October 2022).

The murder incident has occurred yesterday (23 October 2022) while the deceased and the suspect drinking kwaso (homebrew) at the top of the Jacobs ladder at West Kola ridge area.

More than 30 plus people including children are the latest victims of a gruesome act of some arsonist who burnt down their houses at Kakalu village at Wanderer bay inland in West Guadalcanal on 12 October 2022.

More than 20 plus suspects have been arrested so far. Those suspects involved are male and female including juveniles. Currently, they are at Henderson Police Station for further dealings.

Rock throwing on the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) marked vehicles now has become a common practice in some hot spot areas in Honiara.

This happened after police marked vehicles were rocked over the weekend on 15 October 2022 at Tuvaruhu, Solomon Water area while officers attended to a common nuisance incident.

Another incident happened on 15 October 2022 at Talise bus stop when police attended to a disturbance incident and those suspects rocked the police vehicle and escaped.

The National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have charged two counts of intimidation on the General Manager (GM) of Win Win Mining Company.

The charges were laid after a search warrant was conducted for a replica firearm at the Win Win area at Alligator Creek and Turarana where the Company was operated.

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at Central Police Station have arrested two suspects for the allegation of illegal sale of beers in Honiara on 14 October 2022.

The arrest has occurred after police received information from the community about illegal sale of beers at Balance canteen (Borderline area) in Honiara.

A total of 18 cartons of beer has been confiscated and kept as police exhibit till court gives orders to dispose of it.
