The Royal Solomon Police Force (RSIPF) is investigating a human foetus found inside the water at White River in West Honiara on 18 February 2019.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City Chief Superintendent Stanley Riolo says, “The human foetus was discovered yesterday morning (18 February) by two children playing along the river.”

PPC Riolo says, “The two children reported the matter to their parent who referred the matter to police at the White River Police Station.”

He adds: “Police attended the incident and cordoned the scene until Forensic Officers arrived to deal with the issue.”

“Currently the police have established an enquiry file and two statements have been obtained so far as enquiries continue,” says PPC Riolo.

“I appeal to the general public in particular those residing alongside White River to assist police with more information.”

Police at the White River Police Station can be contacted on phone 21363 or call the Police Communication Centre on phone 23666 or the free toll line 999.
