Eleven of my officers as well as representatives from the Taro Hospital, Choiseul Provincial Government, Save the Children Fund and Solomon Airlines attended the training.”
One of the participants and Director of Nursing Choiseul Province William Timpa says, “On behalf of the participants I wish to express my appreciation to the Choiseul Provincial Police Commander for the initiative and invitation to join the training as it is the first of its kind to be conducted in Choiseul.”
Mr Timpa adds:
“The importance of the training for members of the communities in Choiseul is to have basic knowledge on how to properly use fire extinguishers to stop a fire.”
At the end of the training Inspector James Ketaru told the participants: “It’s very important to know what to do and when to apply what you have learnt. Also it is also very important that you must pass the newly acquired knowledge to your colleagues”.
