RSIPF congratulate officers after Leadership and Management training

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has congratulated 10 of its officers who graduated with certificates in Leadership and Management from the Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) during a ceremony at the Heritage Hotel in Honiara on 27 February 2019
The 10 officers include five male and five female.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Operations, Gabriel Manelusi who represented the RSIPF Commissioner at the graduation ceremony says, “I want to congratulate the 10 police officers for the successful completion of this very important training. This is a great achievement. I want to thank the officers for their commitment and dedication to their studies.”

“The RSIPF need officers with leadership and management qualities throughout all rank and file of the Force. This will only strengthen the confidence that our communities have in the RSIPF. I look forward to seeing the officers implement what they have learnt during their training in various work places,” says DC Manelusi.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, H.E Roderick Brazier singled out the RSIPF officers saying, “I encourage the RSIPF officers who took up the leadership and management course to go out and share your knowledge and skills with your work colleagues. Share your skills to develop your work places and your communities.”

Sergeant Johnson Tautai, one of the officers who graduated says, “Looking back after the five weeks of training, I know that it is a worthwhile training for all of us who took part. It is an honour for me to receive my Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. It is up to us who have been given the privilege to participate in this training to be role models and implementers of what we have learnt.”

The Caretaker Prime Minister, Hon. Rick Houenipwela presented the certificates during the graduation ceremony.
