RSIPF mourns the loss of a senior Police Constable
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) are mourning the death of a senior Police Constable who passed away on 6 April 2019.
As part of the Police protocol all the RSIPF flags are flown at half-mast in honour of a fallen comrade.
Late Senior Police Constable Suzie Seuika, was from Mole Vanga Village in Choiseul Province. She served the RSIPF for 22 years.
According to Police records, Police Constable Suzie was recruited on 22 July 1996 as a young energetic woman who saw the importance of serving the country through policing. Upon joining the RSIPF she was posted to the Police Band since where she was trained as a musician.
During her time in the Police band Late Constable Suzie participated in police operations on several occasions and was awarded the Commissioner’s commendation in recognition of her dedication and professionalism.
She also captained the RSIPF women rugby team, the Royals, during the inaugural Pacific Military Women’s Rugby sevens tournament (PACMIL Sevens) in Canberra, Australia in October 2018. The Royals successfully completed the tournament coming fourth overall.
Late Constable Suzie was the only female in the Police band until she was joined by other two female officers last year 2018.
She was also well known for her dancing skills and performance during Queen’s Birthday and Independence anniversary parades in Honiara
