The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) is advising bus owners, drivers and conductors servicing Guadalcanal Plains in North Guadalcanal that their new bus bay is opposite the Fair West Shipping Office access road down to the old Sea King Restaurant in Central Honiara.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City, Chief Superintendent Stanley Riolo says, “Starting on 9 September 2019 all buses providing services to the people of North Guadalcanal must use this new bay.”

“Police and Honiara City Council Law Enforcement officers will assist to let the bus owners, drivers, conductors and travelling public to be aware of the arrangement.”

“I call on the road users to cooperate with our officers who will be controlling traffic during the introduction of the new bus bay. This will help to address the issue of the queue during peak hours at the market bus stop,” says PPC Riolo.
