The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) acknowledges members of the public including men, women, students and children who took part in today’s peaceful march in Auki today to show their support for the Republic of China (ROC) for their good behavior during the event.

Provincial Police Commander, Malaita Province, Superintendent Solomon Sisimia says, “I am very happy to see people of Malaita exercising their freedom of expression by a peaceful march through the provincial capital Auki. The people behaved themselves fulfilling the requirements of their permit to stage the protest.”

“I also acknowledge the Malaita Provincial Government through the Premier and the Provincial Secretary in accepting the request of the people to exercise their democratic right to express themselves on the issue at hand,” says PPC Sisimia.

He adds: “I want to appeal to all the people of Malaita to continue such good behaviour as shown today and to continue to respect law and order for the security of our province and our country as a whole.”
