Chiefs from east Honiara agree to work together with RSIPF during festivities

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at the Naha Police Station have conducted a successful meeting with communities in East Honiara yesterday (18 December 2019) to agree on ways to work together in dealing with anti-social behaviors during the Christmas and New Year 2020 festivities.

Twenty one representatives including one female attended the meeting. The representatives came from New Valley, Lower Fulisango, Zion, Mudland, Burns Creek, Gilbert camp, Okwala, Lau Valley, Mamulele, Adeliua, Kobito 2, Naha and Borderline

Officer In-Charge (OIC) Naha Police Station, Superintendent Ben Jonathan says, “The meeting held yesterday was conducted for East Zone chiefs at the Naha Police station”

“The meeting was successful as we had a positive feedback from the chiefs agreeing to work together with the Police during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. They assured police to stop any anti-social behavior and illegal activities happening in their respective communities.”

Superintendent Jonathan adds: “The chiefs thanked the Police for organizing the meeting as we head into the festivities. They expressed their willingness to carry out their role as chiefs to work along with the Police maintain peace during the Christmas and New Year period.”
