SIPDP and SIPSP advisors donate to Christian Care Centre

Police advisors from both Australia and New Zealand working with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) under the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) and the Solomon Islands Police Support Program (SIPSP) have donated food, toys, clothes, cash and toiletries for the victims of family violence at the Christian Care Centre (CCC) at Tenaru, east of Honiara.

SIPDP Advisor Mark Battye, who helped organised the Christmas donation, has formed a closed relationship with CCC and has with other advisors provided strong support to the Centre over the past two years.

“Family Violence is an issue everywhere in the world and Aussies and Kiwis understand the importance of addressing family violence issues, which includes supporting the special people and places who support family violence victims, like Sister Phyliss and her sisters at the CCC,” says Advisor Battye

He adds: “The Australian and New Zealand police advisors also wanted to let the adult and children clients at the CCC know that our thoughts and prayers are with them over Christmas.”

“SIPDP and SIPSP would like to thank Sister Phyliss and her team of Sisters for providing such a special and safe place, for having us for lunch and to allow us to share our donations with the Centre and its clients,” says Advisor Battye
