RSIPF thanks people in Makira-Ulawa Province for peaceful festive celebration

The Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Makira-Ulawa Province, Superintendent Peter Sitai thanks people in the province for a peaceful Christmas celebration despite few reports received by police of incidents during the festivities.

PPC Sitai says, “I wish to thank everyone more especially the chiefs, youth, church and women leaders, and everyone else for contributing to a peaceful celebration."

“I know the New Year celebration is still coming up. As your PPC, I wish to call on everyone not to allow alcohol consumption to dominate your celebrations."

PPC Sitai says, “It has proven this time around that all reports police received were all liquor related. Let us be wise and make this New Year celebration more crime free.”
