Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) are continuing with its ‘Operation Hunt Man’ after three inmates escaped from the Correctional Services Solomon Islands (CSSI) Rove Prison on 15 December 2019.

Acting Commissioner RSIPF Mostyn Mangau says, “It’s been more than two weeks and we appeal to the general public to supply more and accurate information to your police so that we recapture the three convicted inmates. We urge members of the public to contact your nearest police station if you see or have any information on the whereabouts of the escaped prisoners.”

“Police also appeal to home and vehicle owners to make sure your properties are safe and secured. Investigations into how the three inmates escaped the Rove CSSI facility are continuing."

“I call on members of the public especially in Honiara to report any sightings of the three prison escapees to police or call in at any nearest police station. I want to assure the public that police had to hunt down these escapees,” says Acting Commissioner Mangau.

The three prison escapees are Frank Firimolea, Willie Olo and Dilo Faiga who escaped from the Rove CSSI facility between 6pm and 9 pm on 15 December 2019.

Police can be contacted on phone 23666 or the free toll line 999 or you can call the CSSI Communication Centre on phone 20107.
