RSIPF investigates death in the Kukum area of East Honiara

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at the Naha Police Station in Honiara are investigating the death of an adult male person at about 9 am on 30 January 2020 in a bottle shop in the Kukum area of East Honiara.

Officers attended to the scene after receiving calls from members of the public that the body of an adult male person was seen hanging in the bottle shop when a security guard entered the premises. The deceased was a security guard working at the bottle shop.

Police later transported the body of the deceased to the morgue at the National Referral Hospital in Honiara for a post mortem and further enquiries.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City George Paikai says “My condolences to the relatives and family of the deceased for the loss of their loved one”

“I call on the good people of Honiara especially in the Kukum area to come forward with any information that may help police with the investigation,” says PPC Paikai
