Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at the Auki Police Station are appealing to the general public and business houses in and around Auki town to call in at the police station if any of their property has been stolen or missing.

The appeal is being made after police arrested a suspect on 2 February 2020 and recovered some properties worth thousands of dollars.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province Inspector Charles Edward Koto says, “Officers arrested a male suspect and recovered the properties but the owners of the properties have not been identified or confirmed.”

“I want to warn people in and around Auki town to secure your properties including residences especially at night time to avoid losing them as there has been a couple of incidences of robbery in the township.” Says PPC Koto

Police at Auki can be contacted on phone 40132 or 40710.
