Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force at the Tetere Police Station have successfully raided and confiscated kwaso and marijuana products at Tarilua Village in north east Guadalcanal on 11 February 2020.

Officer Commanding Station (OCS) at Tetere Police Station Inspector Aloysio Manegaua says, “Officers mounted the raid after police received complaints from members of the community at Tarilua Village and confiscated kwaso products including cooking utensils as well as 84 marijuana plants. Unfortunately the suspects had already escaped when officers arrived at the scene.”

“I want to warn and advice people in communities around Guadalcanal Province not to get involved in illegal activities that will cause problems and anti-social behaviour in our communities,” says OCS Manegaua

He adds: “I want to thank the good people of Tarilua community for assisting police with information which resulted in the successful raid. I call on the people in that community to continue to assist the police with information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.”
