Australia and New Zealand reassures RSIPF of continuing assistance

Defence Attaché in Solomon Islands, Commander Mark Northcote after a brief meeting at the Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara today (27 March 2020) during which the SIPDP Commander, the SIPSP Team Leader and the Australian Defence Attaché reassured the RSIPF Acting Commissioner of the two country’s continuing assistance as Solomon Islands prepares for a possible outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country. Acting Commissioner Mangau thank Australia and New Zealand for the reassurance from the SIPDP, SIPSP and Australian Defence of their continuing support as RSIPF prepares to assist with the implementation of the regulations and orders under the State of Public Emergency declared by the Solomon Islands Governor General, H.E Sir David Vunagi on 25 March 2020 as the Government prepares for a possible outbreak of the COVID-19 in the country.
