RSIPF conducts enquiry into alleged arson in Choiseul Province

Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at the Taro Police Station in Choiseul Province are investigating an arson incident that occurred at Kubokisa Village, Northeast Choiseul on 1 July 2020.

It is alleged the incident occurred early in the morning of 1 July 2020 when the complainant discovered that his private kindy classroom was completely burned down by unknown persons. The building was made of bush materials.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province Superintendent Vincent Eria says, “Police attended to the incident and made general enquiries when the matter was reported to police at Taro by the complainant.”

He adds, “Police visited the crime scene and obtained statements from the complainant but still no suspect has been arrested. The investigation continues.”

“I appeal to people of Kubokisa Village who may have any information relating to the incident to come forward and report it to the police at Taro,” says PPC Eria
