RSIPF farewells a SIPDP female advisor

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) today presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Advisor Marella King of the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) in recognition of her services to the RSIPF Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the Government’s ICT Support Unit (ICTSU).

Advisor King also received an International Law Enforcement Cooperation Medal from RSIPF Commissioner Mostyn Mangau.
Advisor King has been with SIPDP since August 2017.

When presenting the Certificate and Medal to Advisor King, Commissioner Mangau said, “On behalf of all ranks and files of the RSIPF I would like to sincerely thank you for providing essential support and guidance in the field of ICT across all departments within the RSIPF over the past three years.”

“Your contribution to capacity development within the RSIPF during your service is highly commended.”

“With the current and emerging threat of the COVID-19 pandemic entering our shores, and potential for law and order to deteriorate, SIPDP’s ongoing level of ICT support to these planning and preparations is crucial. Advisor King stood up behind the scene with a focus on enhanced functionality and harnessing the RSIPF ICT network.”

“Advisor King’s dedication and passion put into the RSIPF ICT members and the greater ICTSU team has been inspiring. She never gave up and always looked for various ways of providing improvements and supporting the wider team. RSIPF and SIPDP members will greatly miss her expertise, patience and support,” said Commissioner Mangau.

Commissioner Mangau added, “On behalf of the Solomon Islands Government I would sincerely thank Advisor King for her efforts and congratulate her on her successes and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”
Advisor King’s contract with the SIPDP will end on 15 September 2020 after which she will return to Australia.
