RSIPF arrests another suspect in relation to Winwin robbery in Central Guadalcanal

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Henderson Police Station have arrested another suspect in relation to Winwin robbery incident in Central Guadalcanal on 12 January 2021

A 47 -year-old suspect was arrested at Naha 4 after his attempt to escape was fail. The suspect is from Tobaita in Malaita Province who residing at Naha 4 in Honiara.

Commissioner of police Mostyn Mangau says, “The arrest was successfully done with assistance from members of the public with information. The suspect is now in police custody awaiting further dealings and remand application.”

Commissioner Mangau says, “Investigation in to the matter is still continue. Only two mobile phones have been recovered while the money and gold bars have yet to be recovered.”

Commissioner Mangau says, “It is alleged that the suspect is among the suspects who enter the Winwin Company on the 9 December 2020 and remove one gold bar weighing 3 kilograms, other gold bar weighing 1.7 kilograms, and took the sum of $140,000.00 cash and 15 mobile phones.”

He says, “I call on those remaining suspects to surrender themselves to police. You will not hide and police will keep on hunting for you.”
