Police investigate break-in at Honiara City Council office
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Honiara City Central Police Station are investigating a break-in at the planning office of the Honiara City Council at Point Cruz between 14 and 15 February 2021.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Honiara City, Superintendent John Matamaru says, “The break-in incident happened between 6pm on 14 February and 6am on 15 February 2021.The intruder(s) gained entry into the office by forcing the door open.”
Supervising PPC Matamaru says, “Three office laptops and three desk top computers were stolen. No suspect has been identified at this stage.”
“Investigation in to this matter is continuing. I appeal to members of the public to look out for anyone selling any laptop and computers to call the Honiara Central Police Station on phone 22999 and report it. Please assist our investigators to get those responsible for this incident to face justice,” says Superintendent Matamaru.
