The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) appeals to the suspect in an alleged murder incident of a Chinese national in Honiara on 13 April 2021 to surrender himself to police.

This follows the death of a 44-year-old female Chinese national a week ago at the White Angel building in Honiara.

Police know who is this person and he has escaped from Honiara to his home village in Kwaio, Malaita Province.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Crime and Intelligence Patricia Leta says, “I call on him to surrender himself to police. I also urge communities in and around East and West Kwaio in Malaita province to assist police to locate the suspect.”

Assistant Commissioner Leta says,

“I would like to assure the Chinese community and the public that we are working very hard to apprehend the suspect to face his fair trial.

It is not an easy task but police is working tirelessly behind the scene for possible arrest to be done.”

“Anyone with information can call Auki Police Station on phone 40132 or National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) on phone 21192 or Police Communication Centre on 23666,” says AC Leta.
