Police investigates stabbing incident in Renbel Province
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force are investigating a stabbing incident of a 50-year-old female in Renbel Province on 27 April 2021.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Staff Sergeant Eddie Peseika says, “The incident had occurred at about 6pm yesterday (27 April 2021) evening at Avatai village. Police was alerted and rushed the victim to Tigoa hospital for medical attention.”
PPC Peseika says, “It will alleged that the victim is cooking at her kitchen when the suspect enter her house with a kitchen knife and stab the victim on her neck and escaped.”
Supervising PPC Peseika says, “Police yet to identify what is the motives behind the stabbing incident but I call on people at Avatai village to assist with any information that will help police investigators.”
He says, “The victim was transferred from Tigoa hospital to National Referral Hospital (NRH) for further medical attention.”
“The suspect in relation to the stabbing incident is still on the run and I call on suspect to voluntarily surrender himself to police,” says PPC Peseika.
