Police arrest four male suspects for assaulting a 33-year-old male person in Choiseul Province

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Taro Police Station have arrested four male suspects for assaulting a 33-year-old male person this week at Papara village in Choiseul Province.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province Superintendent Vincent Eria says, “The suspects assaulted the victim because the victim have removed their boom box.”

PPC Eria says, “The four suspects were all arrested and charged for assault causing actual bodily harm contrary to section 245 and section (21) of the penal code. The accused released on bail of $500.00 each. They will be appear before the Taro Magistrates’ Court on the 10 May 2021.”

Superintendent Eria says, “I would like to reiterate some very important messages here that all problems in our communities there is a way to solve it. Try to seek help from our community leaders or church leaders to assist rather than taking the laws in to our own hands.”
