RSIPF arrest four suspects for allegation of assault causing actual bodily harm in Central Province.
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi in Central Province have arrested four male suspects for the allegation of assault causing actual bodily harm to a 21-year-old male on 5 April 2021.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent David Soakai says, “The victim and the four suspects were drinking beer prior to the incident. While they were still drinking beer, the suspects gave a bottle containing kwaso to the victim to drink but he refuse and spit it out.”
PPC Soakai says, “An argument broke out between the victim and the suspects and as a result the victim has been assaulted and sustained minor injuries to his body. The victim attended Tulagi hospital and later reported the matter to police.”
Superintendent Soakai says, “The four suspects have been arrested on 14 July 2021 and placed in police custody. They were later released and charge for the offence of assault causing actual bodily harm contrary to section 245 of the penal code and bail to appear in court at a later date.”
