Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Henderson Police Station in Guadalcanal Province are investigating a simple larceny incident that occurred at Bonehe beach, West Guadalcanal on 11 July 2021.

Initial report said that a female foreigner went to Bonehe beach for scuba diving. She parked her vehicle at the beach and went diving. She later returned to her vehicle and discovered that the vehicle was open and her money went missing.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province, Superintendent Edwin Sevoa says, “The matter was reported at the Henderson police station and investigation was carried out.”

PPC Sevoa says, “Police recorded several incidents that already happened at Bonehe beach. I call on citizens and foreigners to take extra care when going out for a dive or picnic on the beaches. Have someone look after your properties before you go swimming or diving in the sea to avoid such incidents.”

“Investigation into this matter is continuing. I appeal to members of the communities at Bonehe who may have any information about the incident to come forward and report it to the police. Please assist our investigators to get those responsible to face justice,” says Superintendent Sevoa.
