Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Central Police Station in Honiara have arrested and charged a male suspect for domestic violence in Honiara on 11 June 2021

Initial report said the complainant was awakened by a loud music from drunken boys in the early hours on that day at Vara creek area. The victim got up and approached the group of boys to stop playing loud music, which was causing disturbances.

It was alleged at that time the accused grabbed her hair, pulled her down, and punched her face with his right hand closed fist. He also scratched her chin with his sharp nails and as a result, the victim sustained minor bruises on her body.
