File Photo

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) would like to warn the public; especially those beach goers to be careful after a crocodile was sighted at the Hammock beach at Kakabona in the North West Guadalcanal on 15 August 2021.

Police would like to remind those who would like to spend time out with families swimming at the beaches to be very careful after some beach goers saw a crocodile floating from Hammock towards Lela beach.

Stay ashore to avoid any possible crocodile attack. It is very dangerous to go out swimming, especially to those living around the area where the crocodile was sighted.

Many have already been a victim and lives lost due to these dangerous reptile attacks.

Police would like to urge members of the communities to report in ample time any sightings of crocodiles to your nearest police station. Contact the National Response Department (NRD) on phone 23829, or call the police free toll line 999.
