RSIPF provide security during ‘UCWF diamond jubilee celebration’ in Choiseul Province

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Taro Police Station have provided security during the United Church Women Fellowship (UCWF) diamond jubilee in Choiseul province.

Women from each United Churches around Choiseul Province have come together for the celebration at Sasamunga on 14 August 2021.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province Superintendent Vincent Eria says, “Police were invited to attend this program to provide security and to make sure the celebration went peacefully.”

PPC Eria says, “During the celebration police also attended to some complaints and warned several people about kwaso and Marijuana related issues. Police also met with Sasamuga Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) members and discussed crime in the community.”

Mr Eria says, “Sasamuqa organizing committee acknowledge police officers for their time spent with the community to provide security as a result the program ended successfully.”

PPC Eria says, “I want to thank the organising committee and the UCWF for the successful celebration. I also want to convey my appreciation for the job well done by my officers during the program.”
