RSIPF thanked local contractor for completion of Barrack at Tetere Police Station

The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) and the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) have thanked a local contractor for a successful completion of the new police Barrack at Tetere Police Station in Guadalcanal Province over the weekend.

Officers from the Police Infrastructure Department (PID) and Tetere Police Officers have attended the program to thank the Contractor for completing the job in its scheduled period.

Police Commissioner Mostyn Mangau says, “I want to thank the SIPDP for the ongoing support and in particular this infrastructure development. I also thanked the Bako constructions for the job well done in the successful completion of the new police Barrack for Tetere Police Station.”

Commissioner Mangau says, “I would like to remind our police officers, especially those at Tetere Police Station and those will be posted at Tetere Police soon after the official handing over to take care of the building. It cost our SIPDP partner a huge amount of money to build such a project.”

As part of the program PID, officers of the RSIPF have inspected the building to ensure the contractor met all the requirements.

The work is being undertaken through the partnership between the RSIPF and the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP) to support RSIPF to provide a critical component for policing within Guadalcanal Province.”
