Police arrest three male suspects for playing loud music during late hours in Honiara

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Central Police Station have arrested three male suspects for playing loud music during late hours at Koa Hill in Central Honiara on 18 September 2021.

Police Commissioner Mostyn Mangau says, “The matter was reported to police by the Crime Prevention Committee at Koa hill.”

Commissioner Mangau says, “The suspects were playing loud music during the night till 6am in the next morning on the 18th September 2021. These three suspects were drunk, using acoustic guitar, and sang songs too loud to the rhythm of the guitar.”

Mr. Mangau says, “That night, the suspects continued on with their misconduct and disrespectful attitudes until 6am next morning. The trio are all adults between the ages of 30 to 50s.”

He says, “The suspects were dealt with accordingly and bailed to appear before the Honiara Central Magistrates’ Court on the 27 September 2021 for their plea.”
