As part of the Crime Prevention roll out to the communities across the country, the Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Tigoa Police Station in Renbel Province have started crime prevention awareness talk at Tahanuku village on 23 September 2021.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander Renbel Province Staff Sergeant Eddie Peseika says, “The main aim of the awareness is to strengthen the community by means of discussing their roles and responsibilities as well to ensure the community have trust and confidence in the police.”

PPC Peseika says, “The awareness was also to visit community setup outputs and community situations on what the challenges community have confronted in their communities and to come up with ways to address it.”

Staff Sergeant Peseika says, “During the awareness program, a committee was formed for the introduction of a by-law. The Director National Crime Prevention Department will be leading the introduction of a by-law for their community.”

Mr Peseika says, “Tahanuku villagers were very thankful for the crime prevention awareness program reaching their community.”

“I appeal to all Communities in Renbel province to stay calm while the awareness program continues to roll out. I also appeal to all communities to respect our officers while carrying out awareness in our communities for the betterment of our community and our generation,” says PPC Peseika.
