RSIPF and RAPPP conduct visit to Western Province
Commissioner of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Mostyn Mangau and Advisor Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) and Australian Federal Police (AFP) Policing Partnership Program (RAPPP) visited three Police Stations in the Western Province yesterday (13 October 2021).
Commissioner Mangau says, “The team visited Noro, Gizo and Sehe Police Stations purposely to inspect facilities as part of requirements for future infrastructure upgrades, equipment and uniform needs for officers serving in those police stations.”
Mr. Mangau says, “During the visit, a muster was conducted with officers in each police station on the importance of future strategic initiatives, operations and discipline within the police force.”
RAPPP Commander Paul Osborne also took an opportunity to explain to officers on how the Australian Federal Police Program will be supporting RSIPF officers in the provinces in the future.
“RSIPF and RAPPP will be conducting more visits to other police stations in the provinces before the end of this year 2021,” says Commissioner Mangau.
