RSIPF witness launch of Mboromole community by-laws in Central Province
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the Tulagi Police Station together with the Community Governance and Grievance Management Project (CGGMP) have witnessed the launching of Mboromole community by-law on 23 October 2021.
The Launching was successfully done after several meetings and consultations by community chiefs, Crime Prevention Committees’ (CPCs) and elders of Mboromole community.
Community representative Mr. John Manelugu says, “I would like to acknowledge the good people of Mboromole community, especially leaders for the support in implementing and launching of the by-laws.”
Mr. Manelugu says, “It is indeed a milestone to have such an initiative for the betterment of our community and our future generation. I would like to thank the RSIPF at Tulagi Police Station for the time and support towards this successful launching.’’
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent Soakai says, “I would like to acknowledge the support and partnership of the CGGMP towards this program to highlight the engagement of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) with rural communities and the RSIPF.”
PPC Soakai says, “I am privileged indeed under the arm of the RSIPF crime prevention roll out program in Central Province to salute leaders in various communities set up in Mboromole Community for their time and effort rendering to this community by-laws. This shows working together by members of the community and police to have peace in the community.”
“I appeal to all leaders of the Mboromole community to stand tall in the community to respect and work with the Crime Prevention Committee (CPCs) and chiefs to ensure our community is peaceful and crime free for the good of our children and generation to come,” says PPC Soakai.
