Police arrests three suspect in Malaita Province
Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Auki Police Station in Malaita Province have arrested three male suspects for intimidation and threatening violence on 18 December 2021 at Busu village in the Langalanga.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander Malaita Province, Inspector Michael Ramosaea says, “It is alleged that the three suspects were drunk and armed with a bush knife and threatened people.”
Suspects were charged and will appear before Auki Magistrates’ Court on a later date. They were released on principal bail of SBD $200.00.
Inspector Ramosaea says, “Community leaders thank Police for quick response and Police in Auki warned people for behaving in disorderly manner or threatened members of the community to be mindful when celebrating during this festive season.”
Police will be mounting operations focusing on such unwanted behaviors and people who will be involved in criminal activities’ during this festive season.
