The Professional Standard Internal Investigation (PSII) Department of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) is investigating the police officers of Noro Police Station who allegedly destroyed market vendor’s local products as claimed recently.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province, Superintendent Wilken Miriki says, “I want to appeal to those of you who were victims and witnesses to this incident to call in at Gizo and Ringi Police Station and give your statements to the officers to file a formal report for further investigation.”

PPC Miriki says,

“Police have a meeting with the chief of Kena village in Kolobangara Island and discuss the matter and also conduct awareness.”

Superintendent Miriki says, “This is a serious allegation and those police involved must be dealt with. RSIPF is a discipline organization and for those few officers involved must be investigated and let them face some disciplinary actions.”
