China police conduct familiarization training with RSIPF on new riot equipment’s

Chinese police demontrate how to use baton during the training

China police have conducted familiarisation training with the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) officers on familiarisation on new riot equipment that was handed over to RSIPF on 24 February 2021.

The training had occurred at the Rove police headquarters with two groups. First group of 13 officers attended the training last week and the second group of 12 officers attended this week.

Police officers attended the training from the Central Response Unit (CRU) under Honiara City Police and Provincial Response Unit (PRU) from the Guadalcanal Police, Operational Safety Training (OST) and Police Response Team (PRT).

The familiarisation training is purposely on use of force tactical equipment on how to use them in any given situation where police are confronted.
