Police in Guadalcanal Province are searching for a 17-year-old male student who has been missing since Friday 25 August 2017.
The matter was only reported to the Police this morning.
The missing person is from a village on Central Guadalcanal but attends one of the secondary schools in Honiara.
He was last seen at the school on Friday afternoon with his friends. His relatives contacted family members during the weekend but were not able to find him. They only reported the matter to the Guadalcanal Police today.
“The 17-year-old is described as tall and with a slim body, short black hair and fair skin. Police appeals to the public to report any sighting of any person with that description by calling Henderson Police Station on phone 36200 or the toll free number 999,” says Provincial Police Commander, Guadalcanal Province, Nixon Manetoga.
“I want to encourage parents to report such matters quickly so that police can assist as early as possible,” says PPC Manetoga.
