Police appeal to Chief Samson Kwairomi to make a formal complaint with PSII

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is appealing to Chief Kwairomi of East Fataleka to formally lodge his complaint with RSIPF Professional Standard & Internal Investigations Department (PSII) rather than using the media to create differences between our working relationships.

This is after he alleged that the Police Response Team (PRT) during a recent operation in East Fataleka to arrest Mr. Knoxy Atu, the PRT officer gun pointed at an innocent child.

There is a department within the RSIPF called the PSII. It is established and mandated by the Police Act to deal with RSIPF officers who commit both discipline and criminal offences.

Should the community believe that actions of the officers during the operation are unprofessional, do come forward and lodge your complaint with the PSII for investigation to determine the truth of the matter.

Appreciative if the community leaders work together with the police and surrender Mr Atu as he is a person of interest in the riot incident last year. It is good to comment on the media but good to work together with the police so we can deal with the matter.

PSII can be contacted on phone 24107 or call in at Auki police station and make your formal complaint.
