The Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) is appealing to the public to cooperate during the current National Parliament meeting.

Team Leader, National Parliament Operations, Inspector Agnes Ape says, “The meeting is very important to allow our national leaders to do their business to deliberate on our countries national budget for 2022.”

Inspector Ape says, “It is important for the parliament to debate our national budget to allow the government to spend any public funds. Parliament must first approve such funds before any spending can be utilized by the government ministries to deliver essential services to our people.”

Ms Ape says, “RSIPF would like to appeal to the good citizens of Solomon Islands to continue to be a good law abiding citizen. Respect our leaders and work together with the police during this parliament session.”

She says, “Try not to be involved in any unlawful activities that will disturb the current meeting. We have a democratic process in place where we can follow and voice our concerns to our members of parliament.”
