Police arrests five suspects criminal trespass in Central Province

Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi in Central Province have arrested five suspects in relation to a criminal trespass and demand incident at Toa village on 27 May 2022.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province Superintendent David Soakai says, “The suspects allegedly entered the complainant area without his consent and started demanding the victim to pay for beer.

PPC Saokai says, “The suspects used abusive words and threaten to murder the victim if he do not meet their demands.”

PPC Soakai says, “The victim was in fear and had to pay for their demand and gave it to them. Before they left the complainant, they shouted at him saying they will return.”

The complainant reported the incident to the police and police arrested them and transported them to Tulagi police station and placed them in police custody for further investigation.
