A 44-year-old male suspect was arrested for shooting a 33-year-old female victim with cocoa fruits in Central Province
Officers of the Royal Solomon Police Force (RSIPF) at Tulagi have arrested a 44-year-old male suspect for shooting a 33-year-old female victim with cocoa fruits.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent David Soakai said the suspect had an argument about his burning house with the victim in a cocoa plantation.
PPC Soakai said during the argument it was alleged that the suspect shot the victim with cocoa fruits belonging to the victim several times.
Superintendent Soakai said the cocoa fruits landed on the victim's back head, backside, and to her tummy.
Mr Soakai said I appeal to my good people in Central Province to be good law abiding citizens. Do not try to take law into your own hands. Seek help in the community to solve such problems. Our community leaders are there to assist us.
The suspect was dealt with and released on bail to appear during a next court circuit on 19 September 2022 at Tulagi.
The incident happened on 15 July 2022 at Ope village in small Ngella.
