The China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) visited some officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) families in Central Province who encountered some difficulties.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Superintendent David Soakai said the purpose of the visit is to support families in need of assistance.

PPC Soakai said the difficult police families included a single mother raising four children as well as a wife who is having little health issues.

Superintendent Soakai said the Chinese police officers learned the news while they were conducted (Public Order Management (POM) training at Tulagi Police Station. They bought some rice, vegetable oil, and fast noodles for those families. They had a warm conversation and expressed their sincere concern for the police officers in difficulties.

Mr Soakai thanked the Chinese police colleagues for their strong support. Over the past week the instructors have fully demonstrated professionalism. You have not only improved the policing skills of police officers, but also warmed up to police officers in need, which fully reflects your sincerity and goodwill.

Chief Instructor Wang Zhongyu of the CPLT said the training for RSIPF officers in Tulagi were deeply impressed by the enthusiasm of the local police officers. As police colleagues, we are also deeply concerned about the difficulties of some officers’ families. I hope that the support may bring them comfort. We hope you overcome the difficulties and get a better life.

The police officers who received the assistance expressed appreciation to CPLT and said they will dedicate themselves to the training.

They also wish that bilateral police cooperation will remain long and stable, and achieve much more results for the police and people of both countries.

The CPLT visited the families yesterday on 12 September 2022.
